Learning Crest Education was founded on a simple belief: children achieve more when they feel understood, supported and confident in their ability to learn.

I’m Dr Alina Ioana Bejan-Morar, founder of Learning Crest Education, English specialist, educator and researcher with experience spanning primary, secondary and higher education.

Academic & Professional Background

My qualifications include:

PhD in Applied Linguistics & Translation Studies
MA in English Language Teaching & Applied Linguistics
BA in English Language and Literature
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

My career in the British education has included roles in English Language and Literature, English as a Second Language, educational leadership, curriculum development and 11+ preparation. As an English Specialist Teacher, I have worked with students across different ages, abilities and educational backgrounds, supporting them from building strong foundations in English to preparing for the GCSE milestones and examinations.

Why I Created Learning Crest

After years of teaching and working with children, parents and educators, I wanted to create something that went beyond traditional tutoring.

Too often, education becomes focused on worksheets, scores and getting through content.

But children are not all starting from the same place — and they do not all learn in the same way.

At Learning Crest, we first ask:

Where is this child now? What do they need? What is holding them back? And what will help them move forward?

From there, we build.

Sometimes that means strengthening reading or writing foundations. Sometimes it means developing vocabulary and comprehension. Sometimes it means preparing strategically for the 11+, SATs, GCSE or Cambridge English exams.

And sometimes the biggest transformation begins with helping a child believe:

“I can do this.”

More Than Tutoring

Learning Crest is a UK-based education service built around high academic expectations without losing sight of the individual child.

Our programmes combine curriculum knowledge, targeted teaching and personalised support with opportunities for children to think, communicate, question, create and develop independence.

We place particular importance on vocabulary and spoken language because strong communication supports everything that follows — reading, comprehension, writing and academic confidence.

We don’t want children simply to remember the right answer.

We want them to understand why it is right and have the confidence to explain their thinking.

What Makes Learning Crest Different?

Research-informed practice combines academic knowledge with extensive classroom experience.

Personalised teaching means learning is adapted according to children’s strengths, gaps and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all programme.

Confidence alongside achievement means progress is not measured only by marks. We want children to become capable, curious and increasingly independent learners.

UK curriculum expertise ensures our teaching and exam preparation are relevant to the educational system children are navigating.

Small-group learning allows children to receive meaningful attention while still benefiting from discussion and collaboration.

And above all, Learning Crest should be a place where children feel comfortable trying.

There is no “I don’t know.”

There is “I don’t know yet — but I can learn.”

Learn • Grow • Achieve

These three words capture what Learning Crest stands for.

Learn with purpose and understanding.
Grow in knowledge, independence and confidence.
Achieve your highest potential.

Whether your child is just beginning their learning journey or preparing for their next major academic milestone, our goal remains the same:

To understand each learner as an individual and give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to achieve their highest potential.
